Maddison Pracy

Hi my name is Maddy, I graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honors) in 2022. My journey into physiotherapy was fueled by my love for strength training, which began through my involvement in CrossFit and weightlifting from the age of 13. This sparked my interest in the musculoskeletal system and human movement, ultimately leading me to pursue a career in physiotherapy where I developed a strong foundation in anatomy, biomechanics, manual therapy and exercise prescription.

Since graduating I have gained valuable experience working with a diverse range of clients including children, adults and the elderly, helping manage various musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. I am committed to ongoing professional development and have completed postgraduate training in advanced dry needling techniques (GEMt), joint mobilisation and manipulation, the Thoracic Ring Approach™, sports injuries and women’s health physiotherapy.

I have a special interest in women’s health across the lifespan, including adolescence, pregnancy, and pre/post-menopause with a focus on strength training and management of musculoskeletal-related symptoms experienced throughout these life stages.

In addition to my clinical work, I am a Clinical Educator for the University of Newcastle’s physiotherapy program, mentoring and supporting the next generation of physiotherapists.

I am passionate about providing a hands on approach and empowering clients through education, self-management and strength.
